August 26th Teacher Training Meeting & CPR Training 9:30am-12:30pm
August 27th Parent Orientation Meeting for the 2’s, 3’s, and 4’s classes (adults only) 6:00-7:00pm- the presentation will begin in the chapel and conclude in the classrooms
September 3rd Open House (students and parents) 10:00am-11:00 (last names A-M) & 11:00am-12:00 (last names N-Z)- in the classrooms
September 4th First Day of School for the 3’s and 4’s classes
September 5th First Day of School for ½ of the 2’s class (parents will be notified)
September 10th First Day of School for the other ½ of the 2’s class (parents will be notified)
September 12th First day that the entire 2’s class attends
September 26th NO SCHOOL- Teacher Training off-campus 8:30am-3:00pm
October Choose Love Theme: Courage; Fall Fundraiser (Butterbraids and Cookie Dough)
October 1st First Chapel Class- chapel will take place every Tuesday at 10:15am;
First Yoga Class for the 3’s and 4’s classes after school 11:45am-12:30pm (Yoga will go through November 26th)
October 2nd First Lunch Bunch for the 3’s and 4’s classes after school 12:00-1:00pm (will go through December 11th for the first semester)
October 3rd NO SCHOOL- CMS/Preschool teacher workday
October 7th – October 10th Safety week- guest speakers
October 10th First Soccer Shots 12:00-12:30 (will go through December 5th)
October 30th Field Trip to Discovery Place Kids in Huntersville 9:30-11:30am for the 3’s and 4’s classes
October 31st Halloween Parade for Families at 11:30am- students can wear costumes to school (class parties that morning for students and teachers)
November Choose Love Theme: Gratitude; Parent/Teacher conferences for each class will be scheduled for November/December
November 1st Butter braid/Cookie dough online orders due by noon
November 4th & 5th – CMS/Preschool teacher workdays (fall break)
November 6th & 7th Speech/Language & Hearing Screenings
November 7th Outdoor Classroom Day
November 11th No School- Veterans Day
November 14th Fall Picture Day Janelle Vandetta Photography; Butter braids/Cookie dough delivered
November 26th Thanksgiving Class Feasts (students and teachers)

April 14th– 21st NO SCHOOL- Easter/Spring Break
April 22nd– 24th Earth Week- Quest Nature Presentation will take place on campus (most likely the 24th) & caterpillars arrive end of April
April 29th Field Trip to Tiger World 10:00am/9:45am arrival time for the 3’s and 4’s classes *parents attend
May- End of year Parent/Teacher conferences
May 8th Muffins with Moms/a special someone 8:50am
May 13th– 15th Teacher Appreciation Week
May 20th Pre-K 4 Graduation Ceremony 6:00pm/Staff dinner off campus to follow
May 22nd Last Day of School and End of Year Party with Families- dismissal 11:00am
*Chapel typically takes place every Tuesday beginning October 1st, from 10:15am-10:30 led by Pastor Lia and Ms. Terra
*Fall After School Clubs: Lunch Bunch 3’s and Pre-K 4 (cost is $7.50/session) Wednesdays (October 2nd– December 11th) 12:00-1:00pm *Please bring a healthy nut-free packed lunch; Soccer Shots Thursdays 12:00-12:30pm October 10th – December 5th (Cost is $136) *Please bring a snack; Yoga in the fall (and possible dance in the spring) Tuesdays 11:45am-12:30pm in October & November (8-week fall session of yoga for $145 total) *Please bring a snack
*Staff meetings typically take place the last Thursday of the month from 12:10-12:30pm
