There are four truths which have guided the direction of Meadowlake Church:
1) Christ is our Lord and is the head of the church. Whatever we do, we do in accordance with his will and subject to his guidance – not ours.
2) Following the call of Christ can never be done by our own wisdom, power, and courage. We will rely on the Holy Spirit to discern Christ’s call and to carry out what we hear.
3) Christ’s call is revealed, in general, through God’s Word in Scripture, and, specifically, through prayer and discernment by the community of faith. Whatever we do must be supported by Scripture as its words are understood by the community of faith.
4) Every member of the Body of Christ has been given a gift of the Spirit, and the Body of Christ depends on every member using their gifts in response to Christ’s call. In order to the goals of Christ’s call for Meadowlake, we depend on every member of our community of faith to be involved and to use their gifts.
