Bible Basics – Led by the Band – Everyone welcome: Every other Friday. Contact Tim Lane if you are interested.
Discovery - Every Wednesday (7:30): The Tender Warrior: The Life of David, by David Jeremiah. The life of David appeals to us because we can identify with his struggles. We will explore David’s victory over Goliath; the high cost for his success; how he treated people; his mistakes; his darkest days. (At church – Gary Lichtfeldt, facilitator; John Morris, coordinator)
EPIC (Encouraging People in Christ) -1st and 3rd Thursday (6:30) NOOMA, a series of short films that explore our world from a perspective of Jesus.
Jesus lived with the awareness that God is doing something, right here, right now, and anybody can be a part of it. He encouraged his listeners to search, to question, to wrestle with the implications of what he was saying and doing. He inspired, challenged, provoked, comforted, and invited people to be open to God’s work in this world. Wherever he went, whatever he did, Jesus started discussions about what matters most, because for Jesus, God is always inviting us to open our eyes and join in. NOOMA is an invitation to search, question, and join the discussion.

We meet to share our life journeys; seek Jesus’ guidance for our lives and for the lives of our families and this church Family; and serve those who need us wherever God puts us, wherever Jesus calls us.
Reasoning For Believing - Every other Sunday (6:00), Studying “The Language of God: A Scientist Presents Evidence for Belief”, by Francis S. Collins
Through this book he describes his faith and his conversion from atheism driven in part through scientific reasoning and evidence.
“An instant bestseller, The Language of God provides the best argument for the integration of faith and logic since C.S. Lewis’s Mere Christianity . ”It has long been believed that science and faith cannot mingle. Faith rejects the rational, while science restricts us to a life with no meaning beyond the physical. It is an irreconcilable war between two polar-opposite ways of thinking and living. Written for believers, agnostics, and atheists alike, The Language of God provides a testament to the power of faith in the midst of suffering without faltering from its logical stride. Readers will be inspired by Collin’s personal story of struggling with doubt, as well as the many revelations of the wonder of God’s creation that will forever shape the way they view the world around them.”
