All of our classes are led by certified teachers. Each class has at least one full-time assistant, and all of the Preschool staff has been carefully screened, background checked and certified in CPR and First Aid.
As a Christian preschool, our students attend chapel once a week and learn Bible verses, stories and songs throughout the year in the classroom.
All classes meet from 9:00 a.m.—12:00 p.m.
PRE-KINDERGARTEN EXPERIENCE
- Meets Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
- Maximum class size is 18.
- Led by one teacher and 2 assistants.
- Each child receives a Personalized Education Program (PEP) that determines his/her strengths and challenges and helps the teachers develop a curriculum that addresses both.
- Primary goals include:
-Gaining independence (unpacking and storing backpacks, putting on/taking off jackets, etc.)
-Letter and number recognition and proper formation when writing.
-Basic use of computers and completing tasks in individual learning stations.
-Basic sight words, social studies and science skills.
3 YEAR OLD PROGRAM
- Meets Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
- Maximum class size is 14.
- Primary goals include:
-Separating from loved ones with little anxiety.
-Taking turns and playing with friends.
-Asking and answering questions.
-Basic self-help skills, including center clean-up, hands-on arts and crafts, weekly independent job responsibility.
-Naming colors, shapes and objects. Alphabet recognition and letter sounds. Pre-writing skills.
-Counting and recognizing numbers from 1-10, spelling and recognition of name.
3 year-olds must be potty trained to enroll.
2 YEAR OLD PROGRAM
- Meets Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Maximum class size is 10.
- Primary goals include:
-Learning to be away from parents and caregivers.
-Following one-step directions.
-Handling materials such as paint brushes, crayons, scissors and glue for creative expression.
-Developing self-help skills, including using the bathroom, and health manners.
-Playing and working in small groups
2 year-olds do not have to be potty-trained to enroll.
