On Sunday, we continued our Journey to Wellness through our Walk to Jerusalem, by God’s guiding Words – to take nothing with us on our Journey, leaving behind the burdens that keep us from being made well; and taking with us, instead, the power of Jesus to drive out the demons of our burdens, and the support of each other to walk beside us. (Luke 9:1-3,6)
Now I See
On Sunday, we began our Journey to Wellness with the first Scripture to guide our Walk to Jerusalem – guiding us to see that we will only be made well in Mind, Body, and Spirit if we choose to Walk by Faith, by what we see in Jesus, instead of walking by sight, what we see in the world; and that, in order to Walk by Faith, we need to let Jesus heal some blindness in our lives that keeps us from being the person that he wants us to be. (2 Corinthians 5:7)
Connecting Your Spirit
On Sunday, we completed our three part Series on Wellness, as God revealed that the wellness of our spirit is essential to the wellness of our minds and bodies – when we connect with the peace, power, and presence of God by praying for Jesus to take away our anxieties, worries, and strivings; and meditating on the Word of God to fill our lives with what is true, good, loving, and blessing . (Philippians 4:6-9)
Honoring Our Body
On Sunday, we continued our Series on Wellness, hearing God’s Word revealing to us that our bodies belong to Him; our bodies are His Temple; and we honor Him with our bodies by being good stewards, by what we put into our bodies, and by being active with our bodies, receiving His blessings of Wellness when we do. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
Changing Your Mind
On Sunday, we began opening our lives to greater wellness by changing our minds – by trusting God to be the changer, by turning away from the patterns of our culture; by connecting and memorizing God’s Word; and by testing God’s Word by seeing and serving the lives of those who need us to live His Word. (Romans 12:1-2)
Walking for Wellness
On Sunday, God offered us His words of wisdom from the “Wise Men” on Epiphany Sunday, to receive the gift of the Abundant Life, and the purpose for our lives, that Jesus offers: (a) Get directions; (b) Get up and get going; (c) Get down before Jesus and give him your gifts (all of them). (Matthew 2:1-12)
You Are Not Alone
On Sunday, God revealed a powerful truth to us, as we decide whether to let Jesus be our Savior, Liberator, and Ruler, we are not alone – we will always have the Motivator with us, our sick culture which tries to claim us, and the lives we affect by our choice of the culture or Jesus; the Power of God’s Spirit to turn our lives around; The Connector, the church which connects the Power to the promise of the wonderful new life that Jesus offers. (Acts 2:36-47)
To Me? Yes You!!
On Sunday, God’s Word affirmed that Jesus was born to each of us; that he offers to give us the gift of himself as our Savior, Liberator, and Ruler; and that we open his gift by “going and seeing” that God’s Word is true, can come true for all that he wants for us. (Luke 2:1-20)
