On Sunday, Jesus offered his 7th Blessing from the Beatitudes, and the blessing for the first Sunday in Advent – Calling us away from being Peace-Breakers and Peace-Fakers, to become Peace-Makers, bringing wholeness within and among all people, as God created us to live. (Matthew 5:9; Isaiah 9:2,6-7)

Sunday – Monday Connection
On Sunday, we returned to the blessings from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, turning to the blessing of those who are pure in heart – those who give glory to God in all that they think, say, and do; seeing the love of God in their lives as they focus all of their lives on Him. (Matthew 5:8)

On Sunday, as we prepared to consecrate our gifts to God, He revealed to us a wonderful blessing of giving – Giving is an investment that will return, without fail, the Fruits of the Holy Spirit of love, joy, peace, and more, in the lives of all who are touched by the life of our Meadowlake Family. On Sunday, Jesus offered us his Fifth Blessing – Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy: “Those who offer forgiveness and compassion in action” to those who are hurting, wiping the slate clean of the past, giving what the hurting need to be healed and live the life God wants for them in the future. (Matthew 5:7)
