On Sunday, we heard Jesus’ commandment to love one another as he loved us, by putting our lives on the line for another – which we saw as we remembered those who put their lives on the line and gave their lives on September 11, 2001; as we honored our firefighters, police, and EMT’s who put their lives on the line for us every day; and as we were called to respond by doing the same. (John 15: 9-17)
