Sunday – Monday Connection

On Sunday, David’s life-ending song offered us new-life beginning blessings, offering us God’s promises of Protection and Power to overcome and be freed from the enemies in our lives, if we cry out to Him, admitting that we need His help, and let His Spirit fill us and lead us in God’s ways; which God wants to do for us because He delights in us, no matter what we have done, no matter what our life circumstances may be. (2 Samuel 12:1-13; Psalm 51)

August 7, 2011 Sermon: A Heart for God – Can Sin

On Sunday, God showed us David’s downward spiraling life of sins, to offer us the blessings of how to be led away from sin and led into the good life He wants for us: Showing us how sin begins – when we are most vulnerable (“I.N.  R.A.G.S.”); how sin grows – in small incremental steps, aided by self deceit; how sin can be defeated – by turning away and turning it over to God, with guidance from His Word, and strength from His Family (“R.I.G.H.T.”). (2 Samuel 11)
