As I write this Connection, Meadowlake is filled with fun, fellowship, fantastic food, and amazing art – raising funds for maintaining God’s facility. Do not let the sun go down today, until you have tasted Meadowlake’s “Sinfully Delicious Holy Smokes Barbeque;” until you have seen and possibly purchased the talented offerings of our artists – and “connected” with our Family as you do!
And connect this Sunday as we give a Graduation Gift to our rising Third Graders – their own Bible. This is a special day for them, for their families, and for our entire Family…
Are You a Giver of Good?
Romans 12:9, 17-21
As you read and pray about the Scripture for this week, discuss it with someone else, and answer these questions:
- What specific words seem to be speaking to you, and why do those words “stand out” for you?
- We continue to check the condition of our hearts, as we explore this Scripture that speaks so deeply to one of the deepest challenges for our hearts – to hate evil, hold fast to good, and overcome evil only with good. Is there some issue, person, relationship that has caused you harm, or is there some harmful issue or condition in our community? If so, how can you overcome this harm by doing what is good?
- What would you like to understand better after Sunday?
