Notes from Fred:
- Begin your New Year in the very best way – by joining with your family and your Family of Faith in Worship on Sunday, to lift up your mind, heart, and life to our always new-life-creating God!
- And especially this New Year, receive the gift of a clean heart and a clear path for the year ahead – as we come together for a Love Feast, tasting a sweet treat and a refreshing drink (during Worship!); hearing and seeing God’s encouragement and companionship; lighting a candle to reveal God’s grace and love…
You Are Not Alone!
Acts 2:36-47
As you read and pray about the Scripture for this week, discuss it with someone else, and answer these questions:
- What specific words seem to be speaking to you, and why do those words “stand out” for you?
- Our Scripture reflects the first Love Feast, the Agape Meal of the first Church. This Love Feast shows us how it is possible to live in the New Year as a “New You” – by drawing on the encouragement and companionship of our sisters and brothers in Christ, and on the power and compassion of God. How can this Family help you and your family to live even more like the First Family, filled with joy, love, and praise to God?
- What would you like to understand better after Sunday?
Let me know about your preparation—and to what extent the sermon connected to your life.
Fred
