July 17th through August 14th the Youth will be collecting school supplies for the children at Barium Springs. We are asking for the congregation’s support of this effort by donating new or gently used items per the list below. All items collected will be delivered directly to Barium Springs on August 14th or 15th. Believe it or not, Target already has their school supply department set up and I suspect Walmart does as well. Families can get a jump start on purchasing school supplies for their children and purchase a few extras to be donated. Also, many families may find that they have left over supplies from last year that their children did not end up needing. Those would make for great donations as well!

- TI 83 calculators & standard calculators
- Glue Sticks & poster board
- Mechanical pencils & black ink pens
- Washable markers
- Highlighters (yellow, pink & green)
- Dry Erase Markers and erasers
- Compasses, protractors & rulers
- Composition & spiral notebooks
- Child safe scissors
- Electric pencil sharpeners
- Post-it-notes, flash drives & index cards
- World maps & globes
Also, while our focus is on school supplies for the upcoming year, Barium Springs’ needs also include baby/toddler supplies, toys and rewards, household items, kitchen items, personal hygiene items, clothing and other miscellaneous items. I’ve attached a list of their needs which provides specific examples of the items needed. If members wish to donate items other than school supplies, we are happy to accept any types of donations and will deliver all to Barium Springs.
