Jamie Ronick presented his proposal for his Eagle Scout Project to the congregation a few weeks ago and we are now coming down the home stretch. I have offered to be our Meadowlake contact to work to be certain that EVERYONE has an opportunity to donate a brick or more in honor of, memorial of, of just to be a part of this legacy.
There have been forms available but if you have not been able to get a form, all we need is your pledge for $25 per brick (the same bricks are $500.00 on some walkways!) and the information that you would like to have engraved in the brick.
Each brick can have up to THREE LINES (can be ONE or TWO also) and EACH LINE can have a MAXIMUM of 13 (THIRTEEN) spaces including commas, etc. If you don’t have a specific person that you would like to pledge a brick to honor or memorialize, there are many other options. I would love to see each CHARTER member or family represented – example: (line 1) HENRY COOK (line 2) CHARTER (line 3) MEMBER – I realize there are some longer names that would be more of a challenge, but even to choose your favorite hymn – example: (line 1) TO GOD (line 2) BE THE (line 3) GLORY – I am sure you have other ideas…
We need to have ALL pledges in by FRIDAY THIS WEEK – JUNE 3rd - You can email them in or fill them out on paper and turn them in, but HOPEFULLY I can have them assembled to tell everyone how it went on Sunday, June 5th. Jamie has a tight deadline for his project and it is likely that he will have to finish the walkway before the engraved bricks come in but he has agreed to come back and install the special bricks to complete his project. The engraving company is going to TRY to meet his deadline but chances are tight.
Please be a part of this wonderful project. I am excited to know that we will be able to add bricks each year so this will be a special way that you can express many feelings or appreciations for years to come. This truly will be our legacy here at Meadowlake. I hope you will be a part of it!
